Highways and Hedges Church International

Aiken, SC



 

The eldest son of three sons, Pastor Timothy O. Williams has been in the preaching ministry since Sept. 1988, and is now the eminent founder and pastor of the Highways and Hedges Church International in Aiken, SC.  However, this is not the start of Pastor Williams' ministry. 

Being the son of a pastor, Pastor Williams has been working in the church most of his life, and he has held many positions as well, including the President of the Yellow River Baptist Youth Association.  (1988-1993)  He also served as Assistant to the Pastor of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Woodville, GA, before becoming Senior Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Crawfordville, GA,  (Senior Pastor 1992-1995) and Montmorenci Missionary Baptist Church in Aiken, SC. (Senior Pastor 1995-2016)

    

During his tenure as Senior Pastor of New Hope,

he also held the position of Assistant Recording Secretary of the Georgia Baptist State Youth Convention.  He is currently a member of the Baptist E&M State Convention of South Carolina, and from 2001-2005, was a part of the Tape Ministry Team.  He holds (and has held) the following positions:  Current National Alumni President of the Morehouse School of Religion, Former Moderator of the Storm Branch Educational Missionary Baptist Association, current member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, current member of the Aiken Branch of the NAACP, and a current member of Aiken Concerned Ministers Fellowship. 

     

Pastor Timothy O. Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Augusta State University, with a major in Sociology, and a Masters of Divinity Degree (MDiv) from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, GA, with a concentration in Homiletics and Worship.
